TerraTerra! Laboratory of edible agriculture celebrates the harvest and invite all to a small tasting the fruits of work of pupils in elementary school classes V Positano. The project began in January, has seen them protagonists of a process for creating a "garden in a box" through which to discover agriculture and taste.
Thursday, May 21, 2009, at 15:30, on the terrace of the elementary school, will be presented and discussed the entire project curated by Matthias Anthony Cantarella and Gabriella Guida, in collaboration with Workshop
action of 'Guerrilla Gardening', which intends to reevaluate the traditional flowers used in cooking and herbal preparations. Edible flowers are a fundamental part of the culture of taste. Their aromas, colors and flavors make it possible to assign a new value to urban flowerbeds. Flower Salad has a marked seasonality is characteristic of the species used for their flowering period (only some of the species are perennial). The bed has a lifespan of about three months. Flower Salad while referring to the aesthetics of the garden, takes place in the public participation invited to interact with the flowerbed in order to acquire a more conscious attitude towards the common resources. The interaction is suggested through communication: a logo expressing its edibility and various aids to guide use.

Flower Salad is a horti-coltural intervention in a public garden space. A flowerbed of edible seasonal plants, it is composed of species that are widespread throughout the Mediterranean area. The project suggests an alternative line to the planning of public green areas, placing attention on the integration of autochthonous species and interaction with citizens.
It is an action of "Guerrilla Gardening" which intends to reevaluate the traditional flowers used in both culinary and herbalistic preparations. Edible flowers represent a fundamental aspect of the culture of the taste. Their aromas, colours and flavours provide the possibility of attributing new value to urban flowerbeds. Flower Salad bears a feature of marked seasonality, due to both the species used and their blossom periods (only a few of the species are perennial). The flowerbed has a life cycle of approximately three mounths.
Flower Salad, while referencing the aesthetics of gardening, is producted throught the participation of the public, which is turn invited to interact with the flowerbed in order to acquire a more aware attitude with respect to communal resources. This interaction is prompted through visual communication: a logo expressing edibility and various aids guding the use. A website will collect advice on taking care of the flowerbed and suggestions regarding the possible uses of the flowers.
