The Rastafarianism is a religion of Jewish-Christian origin. The Rastafarianism originated from Ethiopia, a religious-political movement of national press. But what today is defined as Rastafarianism comes from the spread of reggae music of Bob Marley. The name Rastafari comes from Ras Tafari, Emperor of Ethiopia, who ascended the throne in 1930. The Rastafarians are known for their particular hair: so-called dreadlocks all know that even though this practice in their doctrine is optional.
